Civil Marriage Ceremonies
We have a license to hold civil wedding ceremonies, baby naming and commitment ceremonies. This is another way we can share the wonderful facilities we have at Holton Lee and in particular our award winning building “Faith House”.
Opened in 2002, Faith House provides an ideal venue, set as it is amongst 350 acres of varied landscape overlooking the shores of Poole Harbour. Plenty of photographic opportunities, free parking and the option of holding the reception in our marquee make this the perfect place to hold your wedding no matter how large or small. Unlike
other venues we specialise in the civil wedding ceremony only and do not
insist couples hold a reception. Facility

Wedding Receptions Both buildings are suitable for wedding receptions although staff will need at least one hour to re-set the room for your reception after the ceremony. Photography There
are plenty of photographic opportunities within the 350 acre estate, I
or a member of staff would be happy to meet with your photographer
before the event to show them around. We do however ask that they phone to make an appointment. Parking We have
a large camping field adjacent to all buildings which provides ample
free parking. The official
wedding cars can park outside all buildings for the duration of the
ceremony (as can Disabled badge holders). Music You
will need to consider music for your wedding.
The conditions of a Civil Wedding Ceremony prohibit the use of
hymns and religious songs or readings of a religious nature.
If you are unsure about the content of your music please discuss
this in advance with the Registrar. Flowers The
room is provided with flowers in neutral colours within the costs.
You may wish to have additional flowers supplied by our local
florist, this can be arranged. How to Book 1)
Before any other arrangements are made, a provisional date must
be agreed between you, the
Registrar and Holton Lee. 2)
When you have discussed and settled the date of your wedding with
the Registrar you will need to confirm your booking with us. 3)
The booking is confirmed when we have received your written
confirmation and deposit of £150.00,
which is non-refundable, we accept cash, cheque made payable to Holton
Lee or credit/debit cards. All
amendments to the booking must be made in writing including any
cancellation of the booking. 4)
The final balance is due 42 days prior to the ceremony, at this
point you may wish to make an appointment with us to discuss the fine
details of the ceremony. 5) We recommend all couples take out wedding insurance. |
