Ashtree Cottage Garden
Ashtree Cottage Garden has been established along organic principles to provide fresh herbs, fruit and vegetables to the Barn. Holton Lee aims to be a sustainable and self sufficient as possible, recycling and sustainably using as many of our own resources as is practicable.
The vegetable garden is run on organic principle, the aim and objective is to produce an area suitable for production of organic vegetables, fruit and herbs, primarily for use in the Barn. As the project progresses we hope to increase the variety of plants and produce for sale. There are presently three poly-tunnels in which we grow tomatoes, peppers, winter salad as well as leeks, potatoes and a variety of other produce. We are hoping to raise funds to enable us to purchase a greenhouse for propagation work. The project is currently supported by three volunteers and one part-time member of staff.
