THE STABLES
ARTIST STUDIOS

The Stables Studios are a suite of 4 accessible artist studios designed by Tony Fretton Architects which opened in November 2004.

The studio spaces are intended for sculpture, digital arts and fine art.  The common room, with kitchen, provides space for artists and visitors to discuss professional practice and view work in progress.

The spaces are fully accessible and consideration has been given to the space and light requirements of the various art forms. The studio site comprises an old stable block, outside courtyard space and open sided ‘Dutch Barn’ The Dutch barn provides outside workspace.
