Christmas Selling Exhibition 2005

PRESS RELEASE

15 Days in Clay & Studio 2, Ceramic and Print
Christmas Selling Exhibition

The Mayor and Mayoress of Poole, Councillor Lou Knight and Mrs Angela Knight will be opening the latest Ceramic and Print exhibition by the talented artists groups, “15 Days in Clay” and “Studio 2” printmakers.

The private view will take place at Faith House Holton Lee Dorset on Tuesday,
8th November, 2005 between 1.30 pm and 3.30 pm. The exhibition will run from Wednesday 2nd November-Tuesday 22nd November and is open daily.

There are many achievements to embrace at the opening of the exhibition with 15 Days celebrating their second anniversary of the running of the project, and the development of such outstanding work being produced by all of the artists taking part in the exhibition.

Artists from Sea View Day Centre, Blandford Hospital, Poole College, and Poole Community Support Team, have produced this Christmas selling exhibition.

The exciting work on display is original and unique and shows what can be produced when individuals are enabled to work with professional artists in an inspirational setting, to develop their creative talents.

Both projects are run from Holton Lee and were originally funded by “Awards For All” and have been able to continue thanks to the help and support of Poole Social Services, Poole Community Support Team, Bournemouth Arts Institute, Purbeck Adult Education and the Arts Development Unit Poole.

The “15 Days In Clay” group are now able to continue by accessing Direct Payments which allows individuals to choose and pay for which day opportunity they would like to take part in, this will now enable an additional project to be set up so a new group will now be able to access this unique opportunity.

If you would like any further information about the projects and the exhibition please call Janna on 07980-563899

N.B: Faith House is sometimes used for private functions so please call 01202-625562 to avoid disappointment.
